Longtime friends Kevin Bendis (lead vocals) and Chris Croarkin (guitar), first formed the group over a shared love of guitar pop, fuzz pedals, and three-part harmonies. They quickly began writing songs, performing regularly around the city, and catching the attention of Kanine Records. 

After a few lineup shifts, Diary solidified as a group with the addition of Adam Sachs (drums), Jessica Dye (vocals, guitar), and Yan Kogan (bass). Kanine Records has since released two of the band’s EPs (The Cutting Garden and Speedboat), along with a string of singles.

Diary has gigged extensively across the East Coast, done the SXSW circuit, toured the UK, and performed at festivals like New Colossus and Focus Wales. Recent press has included praise from outlets such as Stereogum, FLOOD, Consequence, KEXP, Under the Radar, and more.
