Diary is a New York based band that was born out of a shared love of jangle-pop, shoegaze, dream pop, and psychedelia.

Their Kanine Records debut, the Cutting Garden EP, is a collection of songs summoning from dream-states, wistfulness, and the surrealist aspects of nature. There’s a familiar twang of jangly post-punk, tinged with fuzzier, swirling, psychedelia. Lead single, Plant Life, is acid induced dream-pop that ruminates on the haziest hours of the night, just before dawn.

Diary is Kevin Bendis (vocals, keys), Chris Croarkin (guitar, vocals), Jessica Dye (guitar), Giancarlo Saldarriaga (bass), and Adam Sachs (drums).
